Chelsea grew up on an almond ranch in the Central Valley of California, but her heart was always on the stage. Almonds notwithstanding, Chelsea would fly around the house pretending to be part of the cast of whichever movie musical her mom had popped into the VHS player. Having graduated to doodling the New York City skyline on all her school papers starting in fifth grade, her passion only grew.

Chelsea had the good fortune to meet some very talented music teachers who encouraged her efforts in the arts. Throughout high school, she became increasingly interested in choral music, and went on to study choral conducting at CSU Stanislaus in Turlock, CA. It was also during college that Chelsea began performing in regional productions in California, eventually garnering a Sacramento Area Regional Theatre Award for Best Supporting Actress as Anytime Annie in 42nd Street. Before graduating, Chelsea spent a summer at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, dancing in Disney's Electrical Parade. She was the happiest dancer on earth, and loved every minute that she spent with the mouse.

Having graduated with a degree in music education and an emphasis in choral conducting, Chelsea was honored to earn a full-time choral conducting position at Thomas Downey High School, in Modesto, CA. She spent three busy years teaching the amazing young people there, and then decided to make the big move to the east coast. (But not before bringing her students to NYC on a choral tour – a huge adventure and a wonderful last hurrah!)

Chelsea now finds herself residing in Manhattan with her lovely husband, Ryan Foy. With numerous national tours and regional productions to her credit, Chelsea is always ready for the next adventure.
